Development opportunity for Sellafield innovators

Successful organisations and individuals who have achieved Sellafield backing through the Game Changers Programme may have the opportunity of further support through training.

Sellafield’s Game Changers Programme was set up to help identify and develop solutions to decommissioning challenges. Now some of the organisations taking part in the programme will take advantage of wraparound training designed to help them identify wider market opportunities and attract further funding to develop prototype projects and services.

Entrepreneur Business School will deliver the pilot training programme to six delegates in a series of half-day, online workshops. The objective is to help the delegates to widen their commercial horizons, identify new markets and prepare their businesses for growth.

The pilot training programme will also cover intellectual asset management, equity and grant funding, business and financial planning, and effective presentation skills.

The Game Changers Fellowship Programme is set to begin in this month.

Andrew Cooney, Technical Manager at Sellafield said: “We’re delighted we can further demonstrate our commitment to innovation and to Game Changers, recognising the considerable potential of projects and helping people maximise that potential through this training.”

Gillian Brown, Director of Entrepreneur Business School, added: “The Game Changers Programme has given rise to a range of interesting projects and commercial opportunities. As experienced business growth specialists we are excited to be working with this dynamic group of individuals to help them build strong businesses of the future.”
